Ride SunRail to museums on Thursdays


  • Tour Winter Park’s Morse Museum,  (Tuesday to Friday) 11 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Riders can walk from the Winter Park SunRail station to the Morse Museum on North Park Avenue in 5 minutes. At the museum visitors will find one of the world’s best collections of Tiffany glass. Some of the items displayed appeared at the 1893 World’s Columbian Exposition in Chicago.
  • Factur open house, 4 p.m., (weekly) 520 Virginia Drive, in the Ivanhoe Village community, a short walk from the SunRail station at Florida Hospital. Open house visitors are in for a treat because Factur os a wonderland for would-be inventors. It is filled with a wide variety of high tech tools, such as 3D printers. Amateurs and professionals can use those tools to create and invent. Usually only paid members can get into Factur’s workshops. This non-profit also offers classes to help newbees learn how to bring their creations to life. www.factur.org
  • First Thursdays at the Orlando Museum of Art, 6 p.m. (1st Thursday) Those who attend can experience food, wine and art. This is a real opportunity to meet new friends and network.   • Orlando Tech Meetup (3rd Thursday) 7 p.m., meet up of emerging tech firms and entrepreneurs. Attend to see presentations on new high tech products. Attending is a great way to find a new job opportunity.   • Alive After 5 (2nd Thursday) in downtown Sanford, the street party with music, artists and food starts at 5 p.m on east First Street in downtown Sanford. Each month the event has a different theme.
