SunRail rocks this Thursday

0

SunRail will get a major workout on Thursday because there are numerous amazing events planned, especially near downtown Orlando’s Church Street.

  • Florida Blue Presents Rico Monaco Band, free show, 5 p.m., in the plaza in front of downtown Orlando’s Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts, down the street from the SunRail station at Church Street. The concert is free. Get there early.
  • Alive After 5, 5-8 p.m. This street party features art, music and food in historic downtown Sanford. At the SunRail station you can catch the free shuttle van to the event venue. http://sanfordwelcomecenter.com/alive-after-5.html
  • Orlando Solar Bears vs. Idaho Steelheads, 7 p.m., downtown Orlando’s Amway Center, around the corner from the SunRail station at Church Street. The last northbound SunRail train departs at 10:30 p.m.
  • Orlando Tech MeetUp: Women in Technology, 7 p.m., downtown Orlando’s Church Street Exchange, around the corner from the SunRail station at Church Street. http://orlandotech.org/event/november-2015-orlando-tech-meetup/?instance_id=38137

Even though officials plan to end the SunRail #NightTrain in December, it’s still in business and so we encourage you to ride it while you can. The last southbound train departs from DeBary at 9:05 p.m. The last northbound train departs Sand Lake Road at 10:20 p.m. There is NO SunRail service on the weekends.
